Governor Vacancy

We are looking to recruit further governors for Cann Hall Primary School from the parent or wider community. The role of a local governing body is to work together to hold school leaders to account for standards of education; the management of the local budget; and health and safety. Local governors bring individual skills and qualities that together with those of other governor colleagues enable the local governing body to fulfil its functions delegated by the Trust Board.

There is one governing body meeting per half term which is normally held in the early evening. Governors, where they are able to, are also invited to make visits to the school to undertake monitoring activities. Full training to be a governor is provided, so previous experience is by no means essential.

If you are interested or know someone who may be interested in this role, please do let us know by calling the school office on 01255 420603.
