Within our Trust, SEND provision is based on the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice (0 – 25 years). We use our values, culture and ethos to ensure that inclusive provision is provided for all of our children.

When a child is considered to have special educational needs (SEN), their needs will be categorised under the 4 broad areas of need.

CHANGE Schools Partnership ensure that provision for children with SEND uses a whole school approach. We have adopted a graduated response of Assess, Plan, Do, Review and hold termly One Plan meetings for children with SEND. Our One Plans are child centred and focus on developing the whole children to ensure they have a successful future both within our schools and at further education.

All of the children that attend CHANGE Schools Partnership academies have access to a high quality and creative curriculum.  There will be some children that have additional needs who will need support that is ‘additional to’ or ‘different from’ their peers.  It is our aim that all pupils are given the opportunity to make good progress from their respective starting points.
